Administering Omnitrope® at Home

Omnitrope is given as a subcutaneous injection every day or several times a week, depending on your patient’s needs. There are two administration options available for Omnitrope.

A blue injection pen.
A teal injection pen
A vial with Omnitrope and a syringe with a red cap.

Our OmniSource® nurse trainers will be available to help your patients learn how to safely inject and get used to their new treatment routine.

Options to Fit Their Individual Needs

Injection Pens

  • Available in 5 mg and 10 mg to fit your patient’s needs
  • Ready-to-use liquid cartridge eliminates the need to mix medicine at home
  • Stays stable for 28 days after the first injection*
  • May be the preferred option for patients who are uncomfortable around needles

*Cartridge must be stored or refrigerated at 36°F to 46°F.

Vial and Syringe

  • Lyophilized powder must be reconstituted (mixed with liquid) before use
  • Each 5.8 mg vial of Omnitrope comes with a 1.14 mL vial of bacteriostatic water preserved with benzyl alcohol to mix in a solution before injecting
  • Three-week stability once reconstituted or mixed with liquid

†After reconstitution, the vial must be stored in the refrigerator at 36°F to 46°F.
